2019-11-23 Vanuatu Artok Island, Hat Island
Hat Island CaveDive on the back side of Hat Island. Dropped down on top of a coral bombie. Followed the reef spit back towards the island and entered a cave system in the reef. Really nice big swim through with light filtering down from above. Ascended from about 17m to 7m in the cave system and exited higher in the reef. Then moved across and followed a coral wall back towards another bombie. Some more small swim throughs and some beautiful coral and fish life on the wall. Safety stop at the first bombie before ascending to the boat.

2019-11-23 Vanuatu Paul's Rock
Paul's RockPaul´s Rock near to Mangalilu. Really nice dive. Dropped down close to middle of reef head. The outside drops right away to 500m and the inside to about 20-30m. On the reef top there were big schools of reef fish and a few snapper as well as one or two big eye tuna. Beautiful swim throughs on the north side of the reef, some pretty tight with beautiful fan corals to dodge on the way through. We then followed a crack in the reef around to the south side where it drops to 30m. Some nice corals and nudie branches, flat worms and colourful reef fish as well as some large lobster. Safety stop on top of the reef where the fish life is plentiful and very pleasant for diving or snorkelling.

2020-02-23 Vanuatu Artok Island, Hat Island
Hat Island CaveHat Island, west side (outside). Taj Mahal site (big cave). We took a banana boat from Mangaliliu, Jacob was our driver. Went to the back side of hat and dropped straight in above the entrance to the cave. Beautiful cave and eerie feel as it was overcast at the beginning of the dive. Found that the reef near the cave has deteriorated a lot since our last dive there. It improved as we pushed north along the reef. Couple COTs. Finished in a shallower area amongst a number of bombies.
