Friendly and well equipped diving centre close to Rapallo and Santa Margherita

I was staying in Rapallo and I looking for a friendly but still reliable diving centre for some recreational dives. I spoke to a couple of other people working for schools in Rapallo and in San Michele di Pagana and I was taken back by the attitude of the divers. When I walked into the Tortuga diving centre and met Simone and Arnaldo, I my spirit lifted immediately: the master scuba divers were very friendly, completely unpretentious and still very precise. The equipment also looked relatively new and in good conditions and they had two "boats" that allowed them to choose a large area for the diving. I started with a first dive and I was suggested to take a Deep Diving course afterwards which I promptly did. This is not a very theoretical course but the pracise was very useful and the best part was the last dive at 30/35 meters at the place where a wreck sinked during the middle of the second war world making the whole experience even more enjoyable. On top of the quality of the teachers, the sea is generally very calm and warm (29 degrees) during summer (July/August) and I would therefore reccomend a few dives to everyone passing around the area.
